Australia is an ancient land rich in fossils and history, many fossil sites are known but unfortunately most are fully protected and are only accessible by museums or universities that have no budgets or man power to properly excavate the sites. When collected the specimens are stored often never again to see the light of day. The museums or universities are unable to sell surplus specimens to fund their expeditions so we rarely see a fraction of the specimens that would normally be available.

We as collectors and dealers are heavily controlled by our government and must issue permits for the export of any Australian specimens. If we discover a new site of significance we stand the chance of loosing it if a museum wants to take control even though we offer our better specimens to our museums first and in the case of meteorites we guarantee that a substantial amount of each find remains in Australia.
