Kangaroo Island has been famous for its Trilobites since there discovery on the island in 1965. The Fossil layer covers a huge area far larger than the Island but only a couple of places exist were the strata has been lifted above sea level and are exposed making collection possible. In recent years the island has been fully protected so no new specimens can be collected. Some of our specimens cannot be exported as our government will not issue permits for specimens containing certain species.
The specimens below are from older collections and include some worms and other invertebrate that existed at the time. These pages will be completed in early 1998.
