This planet is a unique and amazing place with incredible complexity and diversity across virtually all areas from plants and animals on the earth's surface to the gems, minerals and fossils deep underground.
In addition there is 3.5 billion years of living evolution which we understand only through fossil records.

Special events
Amorphophallus titanium we call "Tiny the Titan" flowered on December 28, 2016. Tiny reached 1.77 metres tall and
1.1 metres wide.
Photo below was taken 21st December 2016 and the open bud
28th December at 4pm as the flower was opening.
