Crinoids are an ancient sea creature that still exists today in almost the same form it existed hundreds of million years ago. Crinoid fossils are found in most countries and are easily identified due to the distinct feather like tentacles radiating from a single stem. Crinoid stems are commonly available, complete specimens are far rarer and can fetch quite high prices.
