Paradisia Nurseries
Paradisia Nurseries was created in 1980 as an extension of our hobby of growing plants. Two brothers, Jeno and Attila Kapitany decided to turn their rapidly growing hobby into a business and and the seed for Collectors Corner was sown.
In 24 years, the business has grown from a small backyard operation to now three operational nurseries with a total growing area of over 35,000 sq metres producing over 1,500,000 plants per year. The company employs on average about 80 full-time staff year round spread over 10 specialized sections that are covered in parts of this net site.
In 1988, Paradisia Nurseries became Paradisia Pty Ltd and soon after expanded into an international concern. Paradisia Nurseries remained the main production nursery responsible for supplying the retail at Collectors Corner with an extensive range of Cacti and Succulents, Bromeliads, Tillandsia, Carnivorous Plants, Hoyas and a wide range of other specialized plants.
Attila Kapitany left the company in 2000 leaving the company to be operated solely by Jeno.
Paradisia is a world leader in promoting and developing specialist plants and many of our products and ideas are exported world wide. Many pottery items used around the world for Cacti and Tillandsias have been copied from designs created by our company over the years. Our selection of labels and packaging is regularly on exhibit around the world.
