Paradisia Nurseries first began cultivating carnivorous plants in 1980 and has since maintained a comprehensive collection of Sarracenias in addition to numerous other plants. All propagation was by seed or division until 1995 when we begun to shift our production to our laboratory and now most plants are grown invitro. This allows us to produce far greater numbers of plants of a much higher standard. By early 1999, we will become a major exporter of Sarracenia hybrids and Venus Flytrap varieties to commercial nurseries world wide.

Being in the southern hemisphere we are in a position to offer carnivorous plants out of season to grower in the northern hemisphere either as finished potted plants or as bare-rooted plants ready to be planted out in the northern spring.  Many northern growers have had good success with our plants and using out of season plants allows then to supply plants well before locally grown plants become available.

In 1999, we will be offering 5 varieties of Venus Fly Traps, 10 varieties of Sarracenia, Cephalotus, Heliamphora, Darlingtonia and Pinguiculas for export sales, some stocks are still available for the 1998 seasons. Minimum commercial orders are $500 of value. Commercial availability lists will only be supplied on application. Lists will only be supplied to legitimate customers, some level of proof of business will be required with application either by Fax Int. + 61 3 9706 1425 or Email  orders@collectorscorner.com.au.

Our carnivorous plants are grown in cold-houses with maximum exposure to sunlight, shade factors 30% in our summer and no shade in our winter which gets regular frosts. Our plants are grown hard and strong so should be able to survive in any condition without any mortality.
